Editorial Policies

Focus and Scope

The Serambi Engineering journal is published as a medium to distribute information on research results in the fields of engineering and science, both carried out by lecturers from the Serambi Mekkah University and from other parties. Published research can be in the form of field research or laboratory research as well as literature review. This journal is published four times a year, namely January, April, July and October. Editors accept manuscripts that have never been published by any other media from lecturers, researchers, students and practitioners. Manuscripts submitted will be evaluated and edited for uniformity of format, terms and other procedures. The topics that can be published but are not limited are:

Peer Review Process

Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions on submitted manuscripts/articles. The duties of the reviewer include:

  1. Reviewers are responsible for recommending the articles they review.
  2. The manuscript review is carried out objectively, and is supported by clear arguments.
  3. Reviewers are responsible for citations, references, and plagiarism of the articles being reviewed.
  4. Reviewers keep manuscripts confidential for the benefit of the journal and do not act for personal gain.

Publication Frequency

This journal is published every semester or twice a year, namely in January and August. Editors accept manuscripts that have never been published by other media from lecturers, researchers, students and practitioners with the writing provisions as listed on the back page (guidance for authors). Incoming manuscripts will be evaluated and edited for uniformity of format, terms and other procedures. Each publication consists of a minimum of 5 articles and a maximum of 8 articles.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
