Abstract

The port of PT Mineral Langgeng Megatama, located in Bumi Harapan Village, Sepaku, Penajam Paser Utara, plays an important role in the distribution of construction materials for the new capital city (IKN). However, the port basin has experienced siltation due to sedimentation, requiring appropriate dredging to maintain the operational depth for vessels. One of the crucial stages in this planning is a bathymetric survey. This study aims to map the bathymetric conditions, calculate the dredging volume, and evaluate the performance of the USV HydroBoat 1200. The method used was a bathymetric survey employing a USV equipped with a single beam echosounder and RTK-GNSS. The collected data were processed using Hydromagic Survey, ArcMap 10.8, and AutoCAD Civil 3D. The results showed that the existing depth did not meet the minimum operational requirement of 5.5 m (LWS) and required dredging of 62,833.13 m³. The basin dimensions (100 × 100 m) and river channel width (50–100 m) were deemed suitable for vessels measuring approximately 82.3 × 16 m. The use of USV proved effective and highly accurate, as indicated by a calibration RMSE of 0.043 m and crossline RMSE of 0.082 m, confirming that the obtained bathymetric data is accurate and consistent.
