Pengaruh Penambahan Biochar Terhadap Kinerja Beton Self Compacting Concrete

Abstract

Biochar digunakan sebagai bahan tambah dalam campuran beton dengan variasi 0%, 5%, 10%, dan 20% terhadap agregat halus. Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Struktur dan Bahan Program Studi Teknik Sipil Universitas Muhammadiyah Parepare menggunakan benda uji silinder berukuran 15 cm × 30 cm. Pengujian meliputi slump test, kuat tekan pada umur 7, 14, dan 28 hari, serta absorpsi air berdasarkan SNI 03-2914-1992. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan biochar memengaruhi sifat beton SCC. Nilai slump menurun dari 86,7 mm pada beton normal menjadi 81,7 mm, 78,3 mm, dan 75 mm pada variasi biochar 5%, 10%, dan 20%. Kuat tekan beton umur 28 hari juga mengalami penurunan dari 21,703 MPa menjadi 18,495 MPa, 17,929 MPa, dan 13,399 MPa. Sebaliknya, nilai absorpsi air meningkat dari 1,04% pada beton normal menjadi 1,23%, 1,44%, dan 1,79%. Dengan demikian, penambahan biochar cenderung menurunkan workability dan kuat tekan beton SCC, tetapi meningkatkan absorpsi air beton.
