Modeling Umur Kelapa Sawit Menggunakan Radar Forest Degradation Index Berbasiskan Citra Alos-2 Palsar-2

Abstract

Umur tegakan kelapa sawit merupakan variabel kunci dalam pengelolaan perkebunan, perencanaan hasil panen, pemupukan, dan pengambilan keputusan penanaman kembali namun, pemantauan optik di wilayah tropis sering kali terhambat oleh tutupan awan. Penelitian ini mengembangkan model tegakan kelapa sawit berdasarkan kelas usia menggunakan Radar Forest Degradation Index (RFDI) yang diperoleh dari citra Radar Apertur Sintetis (SAR) ALOS-2 PALSAR-2 pita-L di perkebunan PTPN III Sei Dadap, Asahan, Sumatera Utara, Indonesia. Citra Fine Beam Dual HH dan polarisasi HV serta data referensi tahun penanaman dari 16 blok perkebunan, yang mencakup usia tegakan 0,5 hingga 22 tahun, digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Data SAR telah melalui kalibrasi radiometrik, multilooking, penyaringan speckle, dan koreksi medan, dan nilai RFDI diekstraksi pada skala blok untuk analisis regresi secara keseluruhan dan berdasarkan kelas usia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hubungan nonlinier berbentuk huruf U terbalik antara RFDI dan usia tegakan, dengan model keseluruhan menjelaskan 83,99% varians, sedangkan model khusus kelas usia mencapai nilai R² sebesar 0,9529 dan 0,9959 untuk tegakan matang dan tua, masing-masing. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa RFDI yang diperoleh dari SAR pita-L memungkinkan pemantauan perkebunan kelapa sawit yang tidak terpengaruh awan dan berbasis kelas Umur.
