Abstract

Penerapan ekonomi sirkular pada industri daur ulang plastik semakin mendapat perhatian sebagai strategi untuk mengurangi limbah, meningkatkan efisiensi sumber daya, dan mendukung pembangunan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis konsep ekonomi sirkular, mengidentifikasi tren penerapan, mengevaluasi tantangan implementasi, serta mengkaji prospek penelitian pada industri daur ulang plastik. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode narrative literature review melalui sintesis literatur dari berbagai publikasi ilmiah bereputasi internasional yang diperoleh dari Scopus, ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, Wiley Online Library, Google Scholar, dan Taylor & Francis Online. Analisis dilakukan secara naratif dan tematik berdasarkan lima kelompok pembahasan utama. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan ekonomi sirkular didorong oleh inovasi teknologi, digitalisasi, penerapan Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), serta model bisnis berbasis closed loop supply chain. Meskipun demikian, implementasinya masih menghadapi kendala teknis, ekonomi, sosial, dan kelembagaan. Penelitian ini memberikan sintesis komprehensif mengenai perkembangan ekonomi sirkular pada industri daur ulang plastik sekaligus mengidentifikasi peluang penelitian masa depan yang mendukung transformasi menuju industri yang lebih berkelanjutan.
